Job Description

This position will be responsible for many different accounting functions within the firm. We are looking for a thinker and not just a processor of data. Some of the specifics include:

• Monthly and quarterly financial statement review and preparation
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles
• Strong understanding of the relationship between the Balance Sheet and the P&L
• Sales Tax return experience - knowing the process and able to review and advise
• Working with several tasks and deadlines at the same time, making sure deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency
• Able to manage and inspire a team to perform at its highest level
• Willing to set the example of high performance so others will follow

Candidate qualifications

• Experience working in many areas of the accounting field including, but not limited to, financial statement preparation, general accounting from sales tax, payroll tax and working monthly and quarterly reporting requirements for clients
• An excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks (desktop and online)
• The ability to multi-task and work through issues with sound accounting theory
• 3 to 5 years working in the accounting field with experience in the above-mentioned areas
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
• Team oriented
• Seeking long-term, career position
