Our firm is growing, and we are seeking a Financial Advisor / Financial Planner who is committed to exceptional client care and long-term relationship building.
Position Summary
The Financial Advisor will serve as a primary advisor for client relationships and support all aspects of financial planning, investment strategy, and ongoing client service. This role includes developing comprehensive financial plans, presenting recommendations, managing client onboarding, and collaborating with the firm’s principal on investment strategy and planning methodology.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary advisor for assigned clients
Conduct discovery meetings, annual reviews, and ongoing check-ins
Provide guidance through major financial transitions (retirement, career changes, inheritance, education planning)
Deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience aligned with firm standards
Manage client onboarding, documentation, and follow-up communication
Financial Planning & Analysis
Gather and analyze client financial data
Develop comprehensive financial plans using financial planning software (RightCapital, eMoney, MoneyGuidePro)
Prepare and present planning recommendations in clear, actionable formats
Conduct retirement planning, cash flow analysis, risk tolerance assessments, and asset allocation reviews
Update plans based on life changes, market conditions, or regulatory updates
Investment Strategy & Portfolio Support
Support investment management activities in collaboration with the principal
Review portfolio allocations, performance reports, and investment recommendations
Assist with research, due diligence, and investment strategy alignment
Ensure client portfolios reflect firm philosophy and risk tolerance
Team Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with the principal to ensure consistent messaging and planning methodology
Mentor and train team members in financial planning processes
Support process improvement, planning operations, and workflow optimization
Business Development
Engage prospective clients through outreach, discovery conversations, and timely follow-up
Build relationships with clients, CPAs, attorneys, and community partners
Identify referral opportunities and contribute to firm growth initiatives
Represent the firm professionally at networking events and community engagements
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate, compliant client records (electronic and physical)
Ensure adherence to FINRA, SEC, and state regulatory requirements
Uphold confidentiality, integrity, and professional standards

Qualifications
Required
Series 7 license
Professional client-facing experience
Strong analytical and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail
Ability to work on-site in Springfield, MA
Preferred
Experience in financial planning, wealth management, or advisory services
Experience with financial planning software (RightCapital, eMoney, MoneyGuidePro)
State health, life, disability, and variable annuity licenses
CFP® designation
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $90,000–$120,000, based on experience and qualifications
