    As a Financial Advisor with New York Life, you will build your own practice within the company, advising individuals and businesses on financial strategies and solutions. You will help clients assess their financial goals, recommend appropriate insurance, investment, and retirement products, and guide them toward long-term financial health. You’ll be in business for yourself—but supported by the resources, training, and infrastructure of a Fortune 100 company. Responsibilities: • Prospecting & Networking: Identifying and connecting with potential clients through community events, referrals, networking groups, and personal contacts. • Needs Assessment : Conducting detailed fact-finding meetings to understand client goals, assets, income, and risk tolerance. Qualifications: While no direct finance degree is required, successful advisors typically have: • Business mindsetSelf-discipline and goal orientationLicensing : • State Life & Health Insurance License (required before selling insurance) • FINRA Series 6/7 and 63/66 (required for investment products) – often sponsored by New York Life Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000
