** Job Description **
**The Financial Aid Assistant provides support to the financial aid office by assisting students with their financial aid applications, processing documentation, and providing general guidance on financial aid. This role helps ensure students receive accurate information and timely assistance related to their financial aid needs. The position reports and works closely with the Corporate Director of Financial Aid and has a highly collaborative relationship with the Admissions Department. **
**Key Responsibilities: **
- **Assist students in completing financial aid applications such as FAFSA and institutional forms. **
- **Review and verify submitted financial documents for completeness and accuracy. **
- **Enter and maintain student financial aid data in the institution’s database. **
- **Respond to student inquiries regarding financial aid processes, eligibility, and documentation requirements. **
- **Support the processing of financial aid awards, disbursements, and refunds. **
- **Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid policies. **
- **Prepare reports related to financial aid activities as needed. **
- **Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial aid operations. **
- **Keep updated on changes in financial aid regulations and procedures. **
Qualifications:
- **High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred. **
- Previous college financial aid experience preferred.

- **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **
- **Attention to detail and accuracy. **
- **Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. **

This is a full-time position, offering 30-40 hours per week with comprehensive benefits, including PTO, health, vision, dental insurance, and a 401(k) plan. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekends off.
