Job Summary
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team and provide financial support to our client PANYNY's Engineering Department’s Operations Division technical services preparing and maintaining the Department’s budget, overtime, and financial performance, ensure compliance with consultant payments, and maintain records. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with in-depth knowledge of financial forecasting and proven experience as a successful Financial Analyst.
Responsibilities Sr. Staff Financial Analyst
Approve service entries in SAP
Resolve invoice issues with internal/external staff
Coordinate with Comptroller and Procurement to resolve vendor issues
Reallocate sub-vendor budgets in automated invoice system
Support system testing/updates for invoice processing
Gather data, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements
Assist Customer Service Manager as needed
Staff Financial Analyst
Approve service entries in SAP
Review invoices for accuracy and compliance
Verify pricing, quantities, and supporting documentation
Identify and resolve discrepancies or escalate as needed
Reallocate vendor budgets
Provide ad hoc financial reports
Assist Customer Service Manager as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, or related
5+ years in accounts payable, billing, audit, or compliance
Expert in SAP Financial Software and Microsoft Excel
Strong knowledge of invoice processes, financial controls, vendor management
Customer service and reporting experience
Deep understanding of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
