    Job Description

    As a Financial Analyst , you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing Achieve’s enterprise 3-statement financial model. You will focus on forecast updates, reconciliation between finance and accounting actuals, variance analysis, and long-range planning to support our G&A and shared services functions (HR, IT, Finance, Marketing, Legal & Compliance).

    While your primary responsibility will be on core financial modeling and bridging FP&A to accounting, you will also contribute to broader decision support, strategic planning, and cost optimization efforts across the enterprise. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys detailed financial analysis, solving complex problems, and synthesizing data into actionable insights.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Maintain and enhance components of Achieve’s enterprise 3-statement financial model, with a focus on operating expense, headcount, and overhead allocations
    • Drive the monthly forecast and reconciliation process between FP&A and Accounting, including accruals, reclasses, and ensuring financial integrity across systems
    • Partner with G&A and shared services leaders to support budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning cycles
    • Support the monthly close process with financial reporting, variance analysis, and recommendations for improved forecast accuracy
    • Help prepare board and executive-level materials by contributing to enterprise planning models and key corporate financial updates
    • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support cross-functional strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and trade-off analyses
    • Synthesize financial data from multiple systems, applying structured analytic thinking to deliver clear, concise reporting
    • Identify and drive process improvements to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial planning and reporting workflows
    • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed to inform business decisions
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    What You’ll Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA a plus)
    • 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate FP&A, or related fields
    • Solid understanding of financial statements, GAAP accounting principles, and corporate planning processes
    • Advanced Excel modeling skills; familiarity with financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Oracle Cloud) a plus
    • Experience partnering with G&A or shared services teams on budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
    • Ability to work with large datasets and apply structured, analytic thinking to deliver clear business insights
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
    • Ownership mentality, proactive problem-solving orientation, and strong attention to detail
    • Comfortable operating independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Experience with financial systems integration, cash flow forecasting, and reporting automation is a plus

    Work from home/hybrid:

    We are proudly offering hybrid options in the San Mateo, CA, and Phoenix, AZ metro market. In other locations throughout the country, we offer work from home, like: TX, UT, NV, WA.

    Salary Range : $80,000 to $95,000 annually + bonus + benefits.
