As a Financial Analyst, you will ensure departmental procedures are accurate and up to date, while identifying and implementing key performance metrics and process improvements. You will drive automation and efficiency within accounting operations, provide analysis and leadership on system and process enhancements, and support management with insights on general ledger activities. Acting as a subject matter expert, you’ll collaborate on enterprise initiatives, train accounting partners on new systems and processes, and provide ongoing support to process owners.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in accounting operations or process improvement, with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to train and support accounting partners through system and process changes.
Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain monthly dashboards, perform data cleansing, and validate data from source files and Salesforce to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Support month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and issue resolution as needed.
- Ensure departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) are accurate, thorough, and regularly updated.
- Identify and implement key performance metrics, process improvements, and automation opportunities to enhance accounting efficiency.
- Lead the analysis, design, testing, and documentation of process or system changes impacting accounting operations.
- Provide management with analytical insights on general ledger account status, resolve discrepancies, and recommend improvements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cross-functional teams driving enterprise initiatives that impact accounting processes.
- Train and support accounting partners on new systems, process updates, and best practices to ensure smooth adoption and compliance.
Financial Analyst Qualifications:
- 2+ years of finance or accounting experience (budgeting, planning, and financial reporting).
- Bachelor's degree required, preference for finance or accounting
- Proficient in Excel; Experience with Alteryx or Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with process improvement and openness to automation.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
