    Contract-to-Hire (Temp-to-Perm)

    Work for a nonprofit organization focused on conserving land and creating public spaces that benefit communities. They are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to oversee the financial and compliance aspects of federally funded programs. This role involves tracking awards, ensuring reporting and compliance requirements are met, preparing invoices and reports, and collaborating with teams across the organization.

    The position requires a proactive and organized professional who can work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including finance, legal, federal relations, and program teams. The ideal candidate is skilled in data analysis, comfortable with contracts and databases, and enjoys improving systems and processes while working collaboratively.

    This role begins as a contract assignment with the intent to convert to a full-time role. Conversion is typically evaluated around Month 3.

    Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

    • Manage the financial oversight of federal and other government-funded programs.
    • Assist with month-end and project close processes, including financial and program reporting.
    • Ensure all subawards, reports, and federal compliance requirements are met.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to track grant and contract deliverables.
    • Review, interpret, and maintain records of federal grants and contracts.
    • Configure funds in the financial system, ensuring all restrictions and conditions are accurately applied.
    • Track reporting deadlines for grants and provide timely reminders to relevant stakeholders.
    • Prepare and submit documentation required to request payments for grants and contracts.
    • Develop invoicing schedules and manage payment timelines for active funding.

    Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments
    • Experience with financial systems and multi-dimensional databases
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with strong attention to detail
    • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and experience manipulating large datasets
    • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and improve systems and processes
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
