Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Data Analyst specialising in healthcare to join our dynamic team. The successful Financial Data Analyst play a crucial role in extracting, analysing, and interpreting financial data to support strategic decision-making within the healthcare sector. The ideal Financial Data Analyst should possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of financial principles within the healthcare industry.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare financial systems, reimbursement models, and industry-specific financial metrics.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and analysis.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Data Collection and Processing:
- Collect, organise, and process financial data from various sources within the healthcare system.
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness to support reliable financial analysis.
Financial Analysis:
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.
- Evaluate financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, with a focus on healthcare-specific metrics.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate financial forecasts and budgets for healthcare projects and initiatives.
- Provide insights into potential financial risks and opportunities.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay current with healthcare financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Ensure financial reporting adheres to industry-specific guidelines and regulations.
Data Visualisation and Reporting:
- Create visually appealing and insightful reports and dashboards to communicate financial insights to stakeholders.
- Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial data collection and reporting processes.
- Implement improvements to streamline workflow and increase efficiency.
