Pine's portfolio company, The Vested Group, is hiring for a Financial Analyst.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a financial analyst in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This person will play a critical role in supporting The Vested Group's financial health through accurate reporting, budgeting analysis, and NetSuite-driven insights. A strong communicator with advanced Excel skills, the Financial Analyst will provide key financial data to leadership to guide strategic decisions and ensure continued growth.

Objectives of this role

• Support the Controller by analyzing financial data and presenting actionable insights to guide decision-making

• Create and manage detailed reports using NetSuite and Excel for internal stakeholders

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build accurate forecasts and budgets

• Identify trends and variances, offering recommendations for improvement

• Drive reporting improvements to enhance visibility across departments

• Contribute to the success of monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial reports and dashboards in NetSuite and Excel

• Analyze performance trends and provide variance analysis on actuals vs. forecasts

• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts

• Partner with departments to ensure alignment on budget goals and financial metrics

• Support financial planning by creating models to project revenue, expenses, and KPIs

• Help drive automation and improvements in financial processes and reporting

• Participate in month-end and year-end closing tasks as directed by the Controller

• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of recurring and ad hoc financial reports

Required skills and qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a financial analyst or similar role

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, modeling)

• Preferred experience in MD&A reporting and presentation

• Experience using NetSuite , particularly for reporting and saved searches

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical thinking

• Ability to communicate financial data clearly across technical and non-technical teams

• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

• Experience in consulting, SaaS, or professional services environment

• Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools

• CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
