Job Description:
Budget Execution and Monitoring
Track obligations and expenditures against approved budgets.
Monitor burn rates and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile discrepancies.
Assist in ensuring funds are executed in accordance with fiscal law and agency policy.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Conduct variance analysis and identify trends or risks.
Develop dashboards and visualizations for leadership.
Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
Funds Management
Validate funding availability and proper use of accounting classifications.
Track and report on funding balances and status.
Data Management and Systems Support
Utilize financial systems (e.g., Delphi, PRISM, or agency-specific tools) for tracking and reporting.
Maintain organized financial files and documentation.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and audit readiness.
Audit and Compliance Support
Support internal and external audits.
Provide documentation and responses to audit requests.
Ensure compliance with federal financial management regulations (e.g., OMB, GAO, FAA policies).
Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate with product groups’ inventory managers, production controllers, and managers
Participate in financial review meetings
Provide clear communication of financial status and risks.
Ad Hoc Financial Support
Perform special financial studies and analysis as requested
Support leadership requests for data calls and briefings
Provide recommendations to improve financial processes and efficiency
Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, consistent with the scope and level of the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal financial management, budgeting or accounting.
Experience supporting government contracts and financial systems
Knowledge of federal budgeting processes and fiscal law
Familiarity with financial systems (e.g. Delphi (Oracle), PRISM.
Advanced Excel-based tracking tools, Access Database.
Understanding of contract funding and invoice validation processes.
