Walsh is currently seeking a FINANCIAL ANALYST in Chicago, IL to provide support and analysis to the corporate finance and accounting team, particularly in the company’s equipment department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring transactions are accurate and in accordance with US GAAP
Assist with the annual budget creation and monthly forecast updates
Manage fixed asset capitalization process in conjunction with Finance Manager and Accounting Group
Produce monthly reports detailing operational results for the Equipment Division in order to gain deeper understanding into KPI’s
Assist with reporting on the fleet leasing and finance programs
Assist with the implementation and management of the equipment holding company. These responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, tax compliance reporting, process improvement, and recurring financial performance reporting.
Assist with the pending lease accounting standard update
Provide ad hoc analysis reporting as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
1-4 years of experience in a technical accounting role with exposure to FP&A
Past construction industry or equipment experience highly valued.
Strong attention to detail with proven track record for driving process efficiencies and solving problems
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with ability to learn new systems as needed. Power BI experience also preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and driving them to completion
Strong written and verbal communication skills
