Financial Audit and Risk Consultant

Vantage Point Solutions, based in Mitchell, SD, is seeking a full-time consultant in our growing Banking Division to work with financial institutions. We have an immediate opening for a Financial, Audit and Risk Consultant that will also contribute to our Virtual Chief Financial Officer (“vCFO”) service. Can didates will work remotely and must be willing to travel occasionally.

Summary/Objective:

As a consultant in our Banking Division, the candidate will work with Vantage Point clients using their knowledge, expertise, and talent to provide timely completion of audits and vCFO requests for clients. You will identify areas of financial risk and advise clients how to improve their financial management practices. You will be expected to review and assess the adequacy of a financial institution's policies and procedures. You will remain current on regulatory financial expectations, and financial matters that impact financial institutions. You will prepare detailed reports and present them to the client.

Candidates should be self-motivated, resourceful, professional and exhibit good judgement.

Competencies:

• Independent contributor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present to executives and in board meetings
• Proficiency in common Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education & Experience:

A bachelor's degree is required, and a CPA or MBA is strongly preferred. A minimum of five years of financial institution experience, as the CFO, is preferred. Experience with FDICIA financial reporting requirements is a plus.
