Financial Controller (Non-Profit)
Salary: $75,000–$85,000/year (based on experience) Location: Fishers, IN | Full-Time | On-Site Humane Society for Hamilton County

What You’ll Do:
- Own and manage all day-to-day accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, and reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements, cash flow reports, grant budgets, and reports.
- Partner with the CEO on financial strategy, budgeting, and reporting
- Lead annual audits, ensure tax and regulatory compliance
- Serve as liaison to the Finance Committee and key stakeholders
- Track grants, in-kind donations, and all incoming contributions with precision
- Support long-term financial planning for a growing nonprofit with impact and heart
What We’re Looking For:
- Demonstrated success in nonprofit accounting is preferred but not required.
- Any candidate who does not currently have experience in nonprofit accounting will be required to obtain additional certification funded by Humane Society for Hamilton County
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
- Mastery of QuickBooks, Excel, and financial best practices for nonprofit organizations
- Deep knowledge of fund accounting and grant compliance
- Detail-obsessed but able to see the big picture
