    Job Summary :
    We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Financial Coordinator to join our team at CARE Fertility. In this full-time role, you will be the primary point of contact for patients regarding their financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical environment, including handling large payments and providing financial guidance to patients.

    Key Responsibilities :

    • Patient Communication :
    * Educate patients on their financial responsibilities and available payment options.
    
    * Provide accurate cost estimates for procedures and services.
    
    * Inform patients of specific insurance requirements, such as CD3, Fertility Solutions Enrollment, etc.
    
    * Schedule patients as appropriate to ensure timely treatment.
    
    • Billing and Payments :
    * Generate appropriate financial forms (fee-for-service or self-pay) and send them to patients.
    
    * Review patient accounts for any claims pending or outstanding balances.
    
    * Collect payments for treatment and ensure timely posting of payments received each day.
    
    • Insurance Coordination :
    * Verify that valid authorizations are on file.
    
    * Collaborate with prior authorization specialists and third-party payer billing coordinators to obtain necessary documentation or inform patients if surgery is pending.
    
    • Financial Assistance Programs :
    * Assist patients with applications for financial aid, including programs such as Future Family and PatientFi.
    
    * Maintain accurate records of all financial assistance activities and applications.
    
    • Record Management :
    * Ensure patient accounts are up-to-date in the EMR system (DOC).
    
    * Add patients to the patient tracker and maintain its accuracy.
    
    * Safeguard confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    
    • Team Support & Communication:
    * Assist team members with financial or scheduling questions as they arise.
    
    * Respond promptly to calls, voicemail messages, and emails throughout the day.
    
    * Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
    

    Qualifications :

    • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or certification in healthcare administration is a plus).

    • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or customer service role.

    • Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems preferred.

    • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    • Compassionate and patient-focused approach, with an ability to handle sensitive conversations about financial matters.
