Position Overview The Financial Planning Coordinator supports the advisory team by preparing financial plans, managing client data, and ensuring a smooth, high-quality client experience. This role is ideal for someone detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to grow within the financial planning profession.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Preparation
Assist advisors in preparing for client meetings, including gathering documents, updating financial plan components, and creating meeting materials.
Serve as a point of contact for clients to provide updates, answer routine questions, and ensure timely follow‑through on outstanding items.
Maintain a warm, professional rapport with clients to enhance overall satisfaction.
Financial Planning & Data Management
Collect and organize financial data such as statements, tax returns, insurance policies, and retirement plan information.
Input and maintain accurate client information within financial planning software and CRM systems.
Support the development of comprehensive financial plans, including cash flow analysis, retirement projections, insurance reviews, and investment summaries.
Assist with preparation and processing of account-opening paperwork, transfers, and service requests.
Operational Support
Coordinate with custodians, recordkeepers, and internal teams to ensure smooth account operations.
Track follow-up items, deadlines, and next steps to keep advisory workflows on schedule.
Help improve processes, templates, and client service standards for greater efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Professional demeanor and a client‑focused mindset.
Preferred

Experience in a financial services or advisory firm.
Familiarity with financial planning software: MoneyGuide, CRM systems, and/or custodial platforms.
