Job Summary:
The Financial Reporting Manager oversees the preparation and analysis of financial reports to ensure compliance with government accounting standards. They are responsible for producing accurate financial statements, supporting audits, and contributing to budget processes while ensuring transparency and fiscal accountability. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to various stakeholders and an in-depth understanding of general accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, asset management etc.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with governmental accounting standards.
Manage and coordinate the monthly financial reporting process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Oversee the disbursement and transfer of funds in accordance with budgetary guidelines and financial regulations.
Prepare the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to GASB standards.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies, procedures, and government regulations.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Support other departments by providing financial insight and reporting as needed.
