Job Description

Our client, a long-established remodeling contractor has an immediate need for a part time (20-25 hours per week) accountant who is proficient with QuickBooks and experience in the construction/remodeling industry. This will be a long term, temp-to-hire arrangement. During the contract period, you will an employee of our staffing company and not a 1099 contractor. The work location is in the Roscoe Village area of Chicago with parking available on the ground floor of their building. Background checks will be performed prior to starting the assignment. This person would work 20-25 hours per week : Two days of work on Tu & Th would be mandatory, with the client being flexible on other days. Duties You will be working on-site at our client's office close to the intersection of Belmont, Western and Clybourn Ave in Chicago. The part-time Experienced Bookkeeper/Accounting Specialist (20 - 25 hours per week) will assist with payroll, maintaining financial records, recording financial transactions, fact checking financial data and updating financial statements. This position requires the candidate to work in their office located and is NOT a hybrid or remote position. Requirements BA/BS in Accounting At least two years of construction related experience or a construction supply company Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Detailed oriented with strong communication skills.
