    Job Description

    The primary responsibilities of the position are to process accounts payable, perform settlement and reconciliation of various general ledger accounts and operational processes, and perform backup functions to other areas as needed.  Individual must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks with minimum supervision and performs other duties as assigned by Director, Controller, or Account Payable Supervisor.

    MAJOR DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Sets up vendor files in Accounts Payable including processing and monitoring W-9’s
    2. Ensure check requests, request for reimbursement, and vendor invoices have proper approval.
    3. Communicates with vendors, departments and stores regarding invoices and/or check requests
    4. Code all invoices accurately to the correct general ledger accounts.
    5. Input invoices into the Accounts Payable module
    6. Reconcile vendor accounts payable statements to invoices paid.
    7. Prepare and run all accounts payable reports.
    8. Print and mail all account payable checks
    9. Scan and file all invoices after payment
    10. Daily posting of general ledger journal vouchers as well as member journals.
    11. Assist with monthly closings
    12. Prepare journal entries, as required (payroll, retirement, etc.).
    13. Assist with corporate credit card accounts. Reconcile statements to cardholder support and prepare journal entry.
    14. Perform daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations as assigned
    15. Provide support to Accounts Payable Supervisor, Controller and Director as needed.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3-5 years in accounts payable experience.  Financial Institution experience preferred
    • Ability to work independently and be detail oriented
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
    • Good judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive topics
    • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast paced environment
    • PROFICIENT WITH MICROSOFT WORD AND EXCEL REQUIRED

    Additional Information

    COMPENSATION: $20-25/HR + 7.5% ANNUAL CORPORATE BONUS POTENTIAL
