    Job Description

    Credit Union is seeking a Staff Trainer to join their stellar team! This position will develop, enhance, and conduct dynamic and learner-centric training programs. Maintains training materials and stays abreast of new products and services and changes within the credit union that may impact training. This position is about motivating staff to go above and beyond as well as train technical skills. It is about embracing the Credit Union culture and living out our Elements of Good. The ideal trainer will be forward thinking and can communicate and adapt to others, believing in behavior styles and the influence they have in improving interpersonal interactions.

    Duties will include:

    • Conduct position-specific training on job responsibilities, policies and procedures, core system, and ancillary systems needed to perform the job.
    • Onboard new employees through an effective New Employee Orientation including introduction to Employee Handbook, credit union history, culture, use of computer, systems, and phones, and product and service training.
    • Prepare training and resource materials ensuring content is updated, relevant, and supports current policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Creates training activities that result in interactive participation.
    • Work in various positions to gain hands-on experience for greater understanding and training delivery and to assist in providing adequate coverage to meet operational demand.
    • Utilize various training delivery channels to optimize effectiveness and efficiencies to meet training needs.
    • Maintain knowledge in relevant fields of training responsibilities including products, services, processes, systems, and operations.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3 years of similar or related experience. Work related experience must consist of broad-based financial institution experience, prior training, teaching, or related experience.
    • Ability to facilitate and deliver excellent presentations and training programs with high energy.
    • Passion for building relationships and providing exceptional service.
    • Good interpersonal and observational skills to assess trainees’ understanding and progress and ability to adjust as needed.
    • Ability to process new information quickly.
    • Ability to travel between branch locations, sometimes working in a branch for an extended time.

    Compensation: $25-30/hr
