    The Product

    Fusion Banking Application is a customer-centric, core banking system providing universal banking functionality for both front and back office. It covers a range of banking products and services such as lending, deposits, and payments, which can be delivered through a variety of service channels, from traditional Branch Banking to more recent developments, such as Web 2.0 and mobile banking services.

    FusionBanking Loan IQ is the world’s leading solution for servicing commercial loans including: structured, project, syndicated, bilateral, asset based, commercial real estate, agricultural, Islamic and niche lending.

    Other Finastra applications and API’s in other lines of business are also in scope of E2E testing. The emphasis is to be able to integrate all the products being used by the client.

    The Job Title: Lending Business Consultant

    The Job Description/Responsibilities

    As a member of LMS team your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

    • Interact with client, consultatively, to determine project requirements and needs analysis.
    • Establish and/or assist client with configuring system parameters and controls based on client’s business practices and processes; recommend best practices; review setup with clients and gain client acceptance.
    • Conduct data analysis and mapping activities for assigned applications if applicable. Analyze source data files and map data to target application for use by technical resources to develop programs.
    • Provide on-site or remote support during client conversions as applicable.
    • Establish and/or assist client with establishing system parameters and controls based on client’s business practices and processes, recommend best practices, review setup with clients, and gain client acceptance.
    • Conduct data mapping activities for assigned applications if applicable. Analyze source data files and map data to target application for use by technical resources to develop programs.
    • Test and troubleshoot system configuration and functionality.
    • Validate new system input, output, and connectivity. Identify, research, and assist in resolving any issues with technical resources.
    • Facilitate converted database validation work sessions with clients as applicable.
    • Assess and report risks during project and participate in the development and implementation of mitigation plans.
    • Communicate project scope, status, and risks to all stakeholders.
    • Record accurate and timely accounting of time spent on project related activities.
    • Follow established project, departmental, company procedures and quality standards.
    • Follow established project management standards. Provide activities related to the management of assigned implementation projects to bring the project to a timely close and transition the client appropriately.
    • Complete post-implementation tasks in a timely manner.
    • Update internal documentation as applicable.
    • Provide subject matter expertise to internal staff including, but not limited to, sales, development, support, training, professional services as needed.
    • Participate in the development of implementation or training content. Conduct software training and/or reinforce prior training to both external clients and internal staff.
    • Maintain, enhance, and broaden knowledge and skills of software applications and industry practices.
    • Provide input to the Test Strategy.
    • Build and maintain test suites ensuring full test coverage while safeguarding from duplicate test cases.
    • Experienced and capable in driving and facilitating functional workshops.
    • Skilled in conducting client-facing presentations and eliciting requirements.
    • Work closely with the wider implementation and operation teams to understand the issues and concerns and how best to address them
    • Work closely with the product teams to come up with the required tools/processes for the team.
    • Work with the client in understanding their business processes so that any potential issues would be addressed by the day-to-day operations of the team.
    • Provide the functional guidance to the team.
    • Provide the functional expertise to the team in addressing issues on the tools and related processes.
    • Work closely with the Technical Consultants and Product SMEs within the team to come up with the best solutions to issues being encountered by the team.
    • Drive continual team performance improvements and efficiencies by implementing streamlined LEAN processes, industry best practices and tools.

    The Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience

    Must Have:

    • At least 8+ years of experience in integrated solutions implementation/support preferably on Lending and LIQ.
    • Extensive knowledge of the functionality and business application of the Finastra Product(s) and any other Banking products.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic, curious, highly collaborative team-oriented environment using agile methodologies.
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Presentation skills
    • Experience of business process modeling and related tools.
    • Client facing experience.

    Travel requirements

    • Should be ready to travel on short or medium-term assignments on need basis, predominantly regional short haul travel with some global travel required.
