Hill-Anne’s Heritage Gardening is a fine gardening business in southern Rhode Island. Established in 2005, it has been serving customers all over Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut, including some of the most beautiful coastal estates and businesses. Services provide expertise in fine garden maintenance and design, including the use of native plants and flowers.

We are seeking motivated, solution oriented individuals for both full and part time positions for the 2026 season and beyond. Teamwork and positive communication makes the day flow well for all, and it can even be fun! We strive to be an upbeat, accepting and positive work crew, no negativity allowed. Primary Responsibilities:
Gardening responsibilities such as planting, weeding, watering, pruning, deadheading, mulching, and performing a variety of other maintenance tasks. We also care for annual, perennial, and vegetable beds, as well as container plantings.
Participating in daily morning briefings with the owner and fellow gardeners to review assignments.
Maintaining accurate daily schedules, task updates, and records using our digital app check in and assignment software.
Qualifications:
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required, along with dependable transportation to and from job sites in Southern Rhode Island.
Punctuality with agreed upon work start time
Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Remain adaptable to changing tasks and schedules.
Possess solid problem-solving abilities.
Work efficiently and adjust pace as needed, while maintaining thoroughness and attention to detail. No sitting on the job. Standing and moving constantly.
Work outdoors in changing weather conditions, including light rain, varying temperatures, heat and humidity, wind, and cold.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
Must be able to remain alert and physically capable of spending the majority of the workday on your feet, performing tasks in a variety of positions, including walking, standing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, shoveling, and lifting soil/mulch bags. This role also requires moving safely across slopes, stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, slippery surfaces, retaining walls, and stone decking. Training and more info will be given with regards to this requirement.
Regularly climb in and out of truck beds, including loading and unloading materials from heights of 3–4 feet.
Perform tasks that involve reaching above shoulder height with heavy objects, including extended periods of overhead pruning.
Maintain a secure grip on various hand tools for prolonged periods.
Eye protection for various jobs, and gloves for rose pruning encouraged.
Compensation/Benefits:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
