DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A BACHELORS DEGREE IN A RELATED FIELD AND AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH INFANTS AND TODDLERS FINE Infant Program, an Inland Empire based infant development agency, is looking for eager and hardworking professionals in the Corona, Riverside, and Lake Elsinore areas. The ideal candidate will be able to provide weekly in-home early interventions to special needs children, ages 0 to 3 years, who are diagnosed with a developmental delay or at risk for developmental delay. FINE Infant Program prides itself on its excellence and compassionate service, and any candidate must reflect both excellence and compassion. Both full time and part time positions are available. FINE Infant Program serves families referred to our agency by Inland Regional Center. Our team members are provided with continual career training and professional support, which equips them with the skills and knowledge to thrive in their careers as Child Developmental Specialists. Job Description: A Child Development Specialist, or Early Interventionist, at FINE Infant Program, provides in-home services for young children, ages 0-3, and their families. A Child Development specialist performs the following duties: * Coaches families/caregivers through engaging in social-emotional development activities with their infants/toddlers in daily routines * Supports parents/caregivers to understand the interventions presented to their infant/toddler during each session * Supports positive parental responses to encourage positive interactions between parent and child * Engages in age-appropriate educational activities with young children, which takes the form of play * Collaborates with the parents and the family to help the child reach his developmental outcomes which nurtures growth and competency in the family unit * Guides the parent/caregiver towards understanding the childs emotional needs, in order to provide the parents/caregivers with positive intervention guidance to help their children communicate effectively All in-home early interventions are play-based and must occur in each child's most natural environment. You must be able to work closely with families and children as part of a collaborative team. Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: -Bachelors degree or higher education in Early Childhood studies or a related social services field -Two years Early Childhood educational experiences. Experience with infants and toddlers -ABA background (experience with challenging behaviors) preferred -Knowledge in all areas of child development (Fine Motor, Cognition, Language, Social-Emotional, Self-Help, and Gross Motor) -Reliable transportation.
