About the BI Data Analyst Finicity seeks a skilled Data Analyst to join the team! The successful candidate will enjoy combining analytical skills with business acumen to provide Finicity with the data and insights that will drive our continued success. The Data Analyst works with key decision-makers on a daily basis as a data-driven adviser and partner. The candidate should enjoy both working with people and performing technical analyses.

What you'll do

• Create reports using Tableau
• Support the business during off-peak hours to ensure systems and reporting remain online
• Analyze data and communicate key findings and recommendations
• Implement efficient and repeatable process for producing ad-hoc analyses
• Support key business segments by creating datasets and preparing visualizations
• Analyze data and communicate key findings and recommendations
• Implement efficient and repeatable process for producing ad-hoc analyses
• Formulate business requirements, transition to technical and use to develop reporting
• Strong analytical mind with proven problem-solving abilities
• Create technical documentation
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot (reverse engineering)

What you'll need to be successful

• Bachelor’s degree with strong quantitative focus such as Economics, Finance, Information Systems or related discipline
• 3 or more years of professional, full-time work experience as a Data Analyst, BI Developer/Analyst or related role, with the following components of your work history:
  • 3+ years of experience with SQL with an understanding of stored procedures, functions, and other areas that pertain to data analysis and BI
  • 2+ years of experience with ad hoc reporting with Tableau
  • Data analysis experience using large complex data sets, complex models and statistics
• Experience with relational databases and data warehouses
• Formal training and certifications as follows:
  • Tableau Certified Associate - Desktop
  • SQL Certification

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT REQUIRED, BUT WILL HELP YOU CONTRIBUTE MORE IN YOUR FIRST FEW MONTHS:

• Experience with databases used in BI such as Snowflake, Mongo, and Dynamo
• Experience with third party tools such as Google & Adobe Analytics, Full Story, etc.
• Experience with additional ad hoc reporting tools such as Power BI, looker, DOMO, or similar
• Coding skills in Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages relevant to BI
• Power BI report development
