Job Description

The Finish Sprayer Trainer is responsible for safely and efficiently managing the finish area and assist the supervisor, with an emphasis on ensuring the application of the stain, toner, and/or sealer meets or exceeds expectations and that in doing so proper procedures are followed.

Paint application in a manufacturing setting and knowledge of application tools is required.

Minimum $23.00 per hour - pay negotiable for qualified candidates.

1st shift: 6am-4:30pm Monday- Friday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducts regular sprayer audits (minimum of 3 audits a week for full time sprayers)
• Certifies sprayers
• Updates and maintains ASDOT database on computer daily.
• Calculates Sprayer Operators scores and averages for certification.
• Trains Sprayer Operators on booth maintenance process.
• Sprays in booths.
• Coaches and corrects Sprayer Operators to ensure proper ASDOT technique is used.
• Supports all areas to relieve operators.
• Ensures all operators are performing tasks according to documented procedures.
• Perform all daily/weekly LPAs, 6S audits, and other audits as assigned.
• Performs daily spray booth audits.
• Participates and contributes to a Work Team environment and follows Quality Control checks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years finish experience including color matching, spraying and quality control.
