    Role Overview:

    Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low-voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, access control, audio-visual equipment, telecommunications, and network cabling. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and system integration while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, terminate, and test low-voltage wiring.
    • Set up and configure security systems, fire alarms, access control, and surveillance cameras.
    • Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions or connectivity issues.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
    • Ensure installations meet local codes, regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
    • Conduct system tests to verify performance and make necessary adjustments.
    • Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and other team members on project sites.
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for job efficiency.
    • Document work performed, system configurations, and project progress.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 2+ years of low voltage/fire alarm experience to include running conduit and bending pipe.
    • Technical certification or vocational training in low-voltage systems preferred.
    • BICSI, NICET, or manufacturer-specific certifications preferred.

    Capabilities:

    • Knowledge of low-voltage systems, cabling, and wiring methods.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and safety protocols (NEC, BICSI, NFPA, etc.).
    • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.

    Working Conditions:

    • Indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to high and low temperatures
    • Potential exposure to noise, dust and chemicals
    • Must be able to bend, climb, lift heavy tools and materials, and work in confined spaces.
    • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, or working in awkward positions.
