Fire Extinguisher Technician
Location: Dallas/Fort Worth Company: Safety Control, LLC.

Safety Control is a rapidly growing fire and life safety contractor providing services throughout Texas and nationwide. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our field operations team. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in safety, compliance, and customer communication.
Position Overview:
As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, replacing and installing fire extinguishers and related life safety equipment at customer locations. You will work independently in the field using a company-issued vehicle and smart device, ensuring all work meets applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect fire extinguishers in the field and identify units due for service
Remove and replace extinguishers that are non-serviceable with new units
Ensure compliance with Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) Fire Extinguisher Rules and Statutes and NFPA 10
Identify deficiencies and clearly communicate findings and recommendations to customers
Inspect, test, and repair life safety devices including:
Exit signs
Emergency lights
Panic hardware and doors
Replace batteries and perform minor repairs as needed
Accurately record inspection results and service data using a company-issued smart device
Relay findings to the Safety Control service department
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in a professional manner
Required Qualifications:
Current FEL-B license issued by the Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office OR ability to obtain an FEL-B within 30 days of hire
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent punctuality, professionalism, and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
