    Job Description:

    • Ability to install low voltage commercial/residential Fire Alarm and Burglar Alarm electrical installations based on blueprints and local code compliance.
    • Performs scheduled and/or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems and ensuring equipment is in excellent working order.
    • Completes maintenance within assigned hours in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs.
    • Assists with the start-up of new equipment or system installation and adjusts as needed to ensure the system is fully functional.
    • Perform work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
    • Maintain company property and documentation in accordance with established policies; handle proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adhere to and support all safety requirements.
    • Maintain knowledge of industry changes and new developments in products and technology.
    • Attend and complete training programs as requested.
    • Present a professional appearance and maintain a clean, orderly, and professional vehicle image.
    • Availability for a rotating emergency call schedule.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • MA, RI, NH Low Voltage Electrician License C or D.
    • Ability to lift, move and manipulate fixtures and component hardware up to 50 lbs, (with or without reasonable accommodations).
    • Ability to work in confined areas, work off ladders, platforms and heights.
    • Must possess a valid, clean driver's license in good standing and be at least 21 years of age in order to operate company vehicles.
    • Reside or willing to reside within the territory, which is commuting distance to Brockton, MA. Can reside in RI or MA.

    Requirements:

    • 4+ years of experience as an electrician or low voltage installer working in a commercial environment.
    • Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, Fire Alarm Technician, and/or CCTV background preferred.
    • Knowledge and understanding of safety rules in commercial setting.
    • Software experience preferred: Building Reports, Vista.
    • Familiar with industrial and Massachusetts regulations.
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems.
    • Strong electrical and mechanical abilities.
    • Ability to use basic tools and machinery.
    • Ability to schedule, plan and order materials for jobs.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to work with customers.

    Physical Requirements:

    Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying up to 50lbs. Must be able to read blueprints and recognize various colors of wiring. Work in tiring and uncomfortable positions, outside and inside. Frequent districtwide travel.
