Job Summary
UV Fire Protection Systems, Inc. is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice. This position is ideal for candidates looking to start a career in the fire protection industry, as well as individuals with prior experience in fire sprinkler installation or pipefitting.
In this role, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in schools, residential, and commercial buildings. You will work alongside experienced foremen and pipefitters while learning to read blueprints, plan installations, and prepare piping systems. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to learn a skilled trade.

Seminole County
Frequent local travel to job sites is required.
Responsibilities
Assist with coordination and installation of overhead fire sprinkler systems
Learn to read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and project schedules
Measure, cut, assemble, lubricate, and install piping systems
Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Support testing of system functionality and assist with troubleshooting leaks or malfunctions
Participate in weekly job site safety meetings
Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Work collaboratively with other construction professionals to complete projects
Travel to various local job sites as assigned
Qualifications
No experience required — training provided
Previous experience in fire sprinkler installation, pipefitting, plumbing, or construction is a plus
Ability to read blueprints (or willingness to learn)
Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA) preferred
Ability to pass a full background check (required for Public Schools, Federal, and Government Buildings)
Must be physically capable of performing trade work, including:
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs
Standing and walking for extended periods
Willingness to work overtime when required
Willingness to work overnight and weekends.
