    We are currently seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer who’s ready to contribute to projects from day one and help shape the future of our team and processes.

    Position Summary

    We are hiring a Fire Sprinkler Designer with 3–6 years of experience to join our design team. This role will be responsible for preparing sprinkler system layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and ensuring compliance with all relevant fire protection codes and standards. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with 1–2 days/week expected in our Portland office.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design automatic fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 13 and applicable codes
    • Prepare layout drawings using AutoSPRINK (required)
    • Perform hydraulic calculations and select appropriate pipe sizing
    • Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and subcontractors
    • Assist with permit submittals and technical documentation
    • Participate in design review meetings and site coordination when needed
    • Maintain clear, accurate documentation and file management practices
    • Collaborate with other departments to support project goals and deadlines

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • 3–6 years of fire sprinkler system design experience
    • Proficiency in AutoSPRINK
    • Experience with hydraulic calculations and NFPA 13 code compliance
    • Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills

    Preferred:

    • NICET Level II or III certification in Water-Based Systems Layout
    • Working knowledge of Revit (not required, but helpful)
    • Experience working in fire protection contracting environments

    Work Environment and Schedule

    • Hybrid schedule: 1–2 days/week in the Portland office
    • Standard work hours: Monday–Friday
    • Some field or site coordination may be required (minimal travel)
