Title: Fire Protection Design Engineer
Location: Greater Harrisburg - HYBRID
Hours: Full-Time
Compensation: $80K-$90K
Responsibilities:
- Create Building Plans and Specs: Work with General Contractor (GC), or Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
- Site Assessment/Site-Walk: Assess water supply, ceiling heights, obstructions, and structural interference.
- Collaborate with the Estimation department, Design Manager, and Operations Manager to review the scope sheet and requirements of each project.
- Calculate Water Flow and Pressure: Perform necessary calculations and potentially conduct hydrant flow tests or other water source assessments.
- Design: Determine sprinkler spacing, pipe sizing, sprinkler types, and special requirements for height or concealed spaces. Coordinate with AHJ, Project Manager (PM), and Design team to adjust drawings as needed throughout project.
Qualifications:
- NICET II or III Certification: Preferred
- Knowledge of NFPA 13 and 25: Essential.
- Design Software experience: AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD, AutoSprink, etc.
