Lead Fire Sprinkler Technician

Location: Rockville, MD

About the Opportunity

This position requires the ability to service, inspect, and repair sprinkler systems for established customers on a scheduled basis and to be available for on-call rotation.

Job Duties

Conduct service calls, performing onsite emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers' fire sprinkler systems, identifying code and non-conformance issues.

Interpret and apply NFPA 25 codes during testing and inspections.

Willing to become or currently NICET certified in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems.

Perform Fire Pump Flow Tests (preferred, but not required).

Prepare accurate, detailed, and timely service tickets and reports.

Communicate with customers to explain the work being performed and any necessary repairs.

Qualifications

A current valid driver’s license with 3 or fewer points.

At least three years of licensed driving experience.

Two or more years inspecting and repairing fire sprinkler systems.

Strong knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes.

Comfortable working on ladders (6–12 ft) and lifts.

Able to lift up to 70 lbs and work overhead or in small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.

Well organized with the ability to maintain service tickets and required documentation for each service performed.
