Fire Systems Service Technician - Fire Systems - Base Salary to 35.00/hour - Warrendale, PA
AllSearch Recruiting is searching for a Fire Systems Service Technician for our client in the Warrendale, PA (Pittsburgh area). The Fire Systems Service Technician will be responsible for the dispatch services providing repair, maintenance and troubleshooting of fire extinguishers, alarm systems, suppression systems, SCBA, gas detection, carbon dioxide, oxygen, sprinkler systems to the industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical companies in Pittsburgh and near surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
Install, repair, test, and inspect fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and special hazard systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge systems, fire pumps, jockey pumps, standpipes, hose stations, fire hydrants, and backflow preventers.
Maintain and repair various piping networks, including grooving and threading pipes, replacing valves, and servicing sprinkler heads.
Troubleshoot, test, wire, and replace components of fire alarm systems.
Generate accurate and legible inspection certificates and related paperwork.
Build and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate with other trades.
Read and interpret blueprints to support installation and service tasks.
Qualifications:
Field experience with at least 2+ years hands on experience in Sprinkler and Alarm Inspection/Repair
General Knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and NFPA 101.
Current possession of (or willingness to obtain) a NICET, DOT HAZMAT and TWIC certifications and licenses
Ability to lift, carry and move cylinders and other equipment that can weigh approximately 20 to 100 pounds.
Ability to show up to work and appointments in a timely manner.
Comfortable using ladders and lifts.
Must be able to participate in emergency on-call rotation
Must be willing to travel throughout Pittsburgh and surrounding areas required to project field locations.
