Job Description
This intern will develop an internal, web-based tool that will gather information from the user about a given product release. This information will be used to identify relevant security requirements and create issues in Jira for those requirements. This tool could also be used for other activities. This intern will gain experience in developing web-based applications, using web APIs, and understanding how requirements are used and tracked in the overall SDLC.
The FireEye Product Security Group (PSG):
Promotes the use of secure development and coding practices using various tools and guidelines
Reviews the security of the design and architecture of individual products
Assesses the interfaces between products for security impact
Manages security testing of products
Trains FireEye personnel on secure development principles, practices, and tools
Works with other FireEye organizations to support secure environments for cloud and hosted products
Runs the Security Champion Program, which designates a member of each product team to act as a point of contact and advocate for the security of that product
Qualifications
Experience in web programming and software development, ideally in Python, Go, Node.js, or Ruby
Knowledge of software security issues, such as the OWASP Top 10
Good communication skills
Understanding of SDLC activities for both waterfall and agile development
Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing a graduate degree
