Job Description

THE ROLE:  

The UX intern will design an experience for potential customers to get a better sense of our products and capabilities before purchase. 

Today, product trials and bake-offs are handled manually. The purpose of this feature would be to lower the cost of acquisition of new customers by making it easier and more efficient to trial our products, as well as expose more customers to our product-differentiating UI and UX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Responsible for designing a conceptual experience and making a pitch to relevant stakeholders
• Work with product owners and SME's to determine feature requirements and workflows on a high visibility project  
• Identify target persona(s) 
• Conduct user research and interviews 
• Determine what content and functionality is most important by persona 
• Determine the most suitable use cases for the feature 
• Document must-have & nice-to-have functionality 
• Complete workflow diagrams 
• Design Deliverables and presentation 
• Design mockups and create interactive prototypes 
• Leverage the design system and as needed, create/update new reusable components  
• Pitch a presentation with an intended audience of all relevant stakeholders and relevant management

Qualifications

REQUIRED: 

• User-testing (planning, moderating, and analysis) experience
• Storyboarding & persona development 
• Information-architecture research techniques (e.g. Card-Sorting, Tree-testing) 
• High-fidelity design specs and mockups
• Low-fidelity wireframing
• Rapid prototyping 
• A portfolio or available examples of work in UX and/or visual design projects showcasing the design process (or able to talk-through the design process)
• Must be a continuing college or university student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing an undergraduate degree

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Experience with creating or working within a design system 
• Html/CSS proficiency 
• Experience with animation (in code, Principl, Invision, or other animation software) 
• Experience with collaborative design tools (e.g. Figma)
• Visual design experience
