    Job Description

    The user research operations team at FireEye ensures product team stakeholders and executives have the proper data to make the best product and strategic decisions for our company. We do this by ensuring they have a regular stream of customer and user insights that are based on both qualitative and quantitative data.  

    Our qualitative research actives include facilitating good research practices, sourcing quality customer and non-customer research participants, facilitating research synthesis, publishing and presenting research findings, and maintaining a repository of research reports and insights. Quantitatively, we conduct surveys to better understand user sentiment and analyze product telemetry to understand user activities in our products. We also conduct competitive benchmarking to better understand how our product experiences compare to our competitors. 

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    As a research intern you will assist our research operations team in the following activities: 

    • Establishing research goals with product stakeholders 

    • Selecting appropriate research methodologies 

    • Analyzing existing research 

    • Creating research plans and test scripts 

    • Interviewing users 

    • Moderating usability studies 

    • Synthesizing research findings 

    • Writing research reports

     

    By the end of the internship, we expect you to take the lead in planning, executing, reporting, and presenting at least one research initiative.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • You have high interest or passion for user research and/or user experience design 

    • Are enrolled in a post-secondary education program 

    • Have solid verbal and written communication skills

    Minimum Salary: $25 per hour. Final salary will be determined commensurately with cost of living, experience level, and/or any other legally permissible considerations.

    Incentive Compensation: Eligibility for annual bonus subject to individual and company performance; eligibility for award of Restricted Stock Units subject to eligibility requirements, approval from FireEye’s Compensation Committee, and vesting terms
