REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL - IN HOUSE OPPORTUNITY

DESCRIPTION

Firebird Grove is a growing boutique real estate investment firm that acquires and modernizes multi-family properties in NYC with an emphasis on design and technology. Firebird Grove is seeking an experienced real estate paralegal to join our acquisitions team and offers competitive compensation and a vibrant work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Project management related to the documentation and the process of purchasing apartment buildings.
• Organizing financing documentation and shepherding the closing process with lenders and outside legal counsel.
• Familiarity with key terms in the legal documents and an interest in learning how the legal documents work.
• Establishing a compliance program to ensure that real estate management activities are in accordance with bank requirements.
• Assist senior members of the team on special projects. 
• Preparing basic spreadsheets or charts to help track the progress of various acquisition and closing activities related to new investment opportunities. 
• Candidate should be proficient with:
• · Due diligence review
• · Closing Cost Estimates
• · Title review & clearance
• · CEMAS
• · Closing Statements

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• 5+ years of paralegal experience (preferably in real estate transactional work) 
• An exceptional “get stuff done” attitude with a high degree of organization, strong communication skills, creative thinking, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities and aggressive growth goals.
• Knowledge of and interest in real estate is preferred.

Salary Commensurate with Experience

Position is currently work from home with eventual transition to office in NYC, must be able to commute.
