The City of Pueblo is now accepting applications for Firefighters! As a firefighter with the City of Pueblo, you’ll respond to emergency medical calls by operating various types of medical equipment and determine priorities for treatment, respond to non-fire rescue calls like mass casualty events, industrial accidents, auto accidents, water rescue, and hazardous materials incidents, and perform strenuous tasks that include moving heavy objects, cutting open vehicles or structures, and assisting victims. You’ll also inspect buildings using the International Fire Code, assist in developing and providing community fire prevention classes, and participate in continuous training programs.
This position requires a valid CPAT certification at time of interview and the City of Pueblo will provide CPAT practice and testing for eligible candidates free-of-cost. Additionally, this position offers you a variety of benefits, pension through FPPA, a supportive work environment, and an annual salary of $68,584.80 - $92,932.56.
