    Position Overview

    We are a stealth start-up, developing a revolutionary SaaS eClincal platform within the Life Sciences space and committed to modernizing and simplifying the Clinical Trials process through our next-generation technology. Our mission is to create the ‘go to’ platform for the Pharmaceutical / Biotech industries in a growing, underserved space, offering numerous competitive advantages and efficiencies to both clients and internal team members, creating a solid foundation for clinical trial success in partnership with our clients. 

    As a Director / Senior Director of Business Development, your focus will be on identifying and cultivating partnerships with Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Contract Research Organizations within a growing market.

    The Director of Business Development reports directly to the Co-Founder and CEO and collaborates cross-functionally across the leadership team. This role will have upward mobility with the opportunity to manage the Sales Organization based on a track record of success. We are a California-based company and our ideal candidates will be based on the West or East Coast.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for identifying, prospecting, and prioritizing new leads and opportunities with Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Contract Resource Organizations
    • Closes new business and expands existing partnerships with existing clients
    • Partner with internal team members to create compelling sales presentations catered to each clients’ needs
    • Present our solutions and advantages based on prospects current requirements, business initiatives, and challenges
    • Drafts proposals, consulting as appropriate with Executive Management and Client Delivery team members
    • Negotiates project and partnership budgets and contracts, utilizing in-house resources to ensure budget accuracy
    • Assists in providing responses to RFIs / RFPs as needed
    • Attend industry conferences, trade shows and meetings as required
    • Maintain contacts, opportunities, and pipeline information within SalesForce.com CRM 

    Proficiencies:

    • Cold calling and prospecting into an untapped territory
    • Consistently meets sales goals
    • Ability to close business based on an understanding of client requirements
    • eClinical / Clinical / Technology product knowledge preferred
    • Self-motivated and goal-focused
    • Ability to develop key business relationships

    Professional Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree
    • 3+ years of eClinical sales experience
    • Ability to travel up to 50%
    • Authorized to work in the United States
    • Experience in business development managing multiple clients and programs
    • Demonstrated analytical skills and sound decision-making abilities
    • Experience in roles requiring contracting and budget management
    • Success leading client contracts process
