REPORTS TO: Senior Brand Manager
The Firehouse Subs Marketing Services department is seeking a savvy and eager-to-learn marketing professional to join a team of experienced, driven, and passionate individuals. In this role, you will support the Brand Marketing function of our fast-growing national brand. The Brand Marketing Coordinator will have responsibility for the administration and project management of a wide variety of exciting marketing initiatives; allowing him or her to make a meaningful contribution to the organization while providing lots of room for personal development as a marketing professional. You’ll be joining a team that works hard, but that still has the fun, family atmosphere it did over 25 years ago when it was founded.
The Brand Marketing team is ultimately responsible for ensuring the Firehouse Subs brand has a strong identity, distinctly communicates who we are and how we’re different across all consumer touchpoints in every restaurant and community we serve in, and, most importantly, shows the heart of Firehouse Subs’ mission to serve hearty and flavorful food with heartfelt service with a focus on public safety. The Brand team leads the development of media creative, to include video, radio and digital creative, in-restaurant marketing assets, and local restaurant marketing collateral, as well as leads the strategy behind the products and promotions our restaurants feature to help us achieve key business objectives.
In this role, you will assist in brand marketing project management, coordinate quarterly marketing materials for our nearly 1,200 restaurants, be hands-on in exciting product tests and facilitate field marketing support requests, all while getting the opportunity to impact the lives of many hundreds of local business owners. The right candidate is one who pays attention to the details but can see the big picture, will be seen as a go-to amongst the marketing team and other departments and will be both a protector and ambassador for the brand. This is a full-time, salaried position.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Assist with project management for Firehouse Subs’ quarterly marketing kits, including oversight of timelines, revisions, required approvals, and production.
- Maintain brand reference documents e.g., brand standards style guide and menu board plan-o-grams
- Assist with brand tests lead by the Marketing Department
- This role relies on the expertise of his/her marketing peers for creative, media, and digital support
- Regularly collaborate with all key departments for the brand – including Field Operations, Operations Services, IT, Communications, Culinary, and Supply Chain
- Ensure marketing initiatives are fully integrated into and are positioned to support the company’s overall business goals
- Ensure consumer feedback is collected and assessed balancing three key areas for moving a test to roll out: Sales impact, operational impact, and consumer impact
- Support field marketing and staff by fulfilling requests for in-restaurant materials, including developing new materials in partnership with our advertising agency
- Conduct regular competitive research on menu items and promotions and report on findings
- Work in partnership with our vendors, like Coca-Cola®, Frito-Lay® and Dr Pepper®, and agency partners to manage specific initiatives
- Coordinate with the Digital and Social Media teams to ensure all digital content is consistent with current brand messaging, graphic standards and offer strategies.
- Develop into a trusted thought leader and drive innovation by:
- Collaborating with the overall Marketing team in identifying opportunities for growth
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university preferred
- 1-4 years of experience in an advertising / marketing / public relations agency or internal marketing department
- Solid understanding of brand management, brand marketing and product marketing
- Ability to effectively multi-task and manage competing priorities
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, adapting message to suit level of audience
- Strong writing, grammar and editing skills
- Experience working with or an interest in learning about the development of creative marketing materials
- Ability to work independently and with teams, both in an office environment and from home, as needed
- Experience in working in a cross-functional environment where ongoing communication and information sharing is vital to achieving success

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- Based in Jacksonville, FL at HQ office; position is currently a work-from-home position due to COVID
- Limited travel, but could include some overnight travel
- Restaurant experience a plus
