    Business Data Analyst

    Reports To: Director of Reporting

Providing support for more than 1,200 Firehouse Subs restaurants in 45 states, Puerto Rico, and Canada. The Firehouse Subs® Reporting & Analytics Department is an exciting, fast-paced, and high-energy environment, and we are currently seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our team.

    Essential Functions:

    Development and maintenance of existing and future reporting tools

    Ability to formulate and create efficient queries to prepare data for ad-hoc requests and presentations within the reporting tools

    Assist in the connection of new data feeds into the database

    Ensure data integrity across all reporting platforms and replicated database

    Investigate discrepancies across all phases of the data flow

    Provide day-to-day reporting tool support to franchisees and HQ staff

    Assist with maintenance, support, troubleshooting, and training of reporting tools

    Collaborates with cross-functional teams in the maintenance and development of reporting solutions

    Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

    Physical demands: The physical demands of the job include bending and sitting.

    Position type and expected hours of work: This is a full-time position that functions both in-office and remotely Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm EST

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, IT or equivalent experience

    3+ years’ experience in reporting and analytics

    Strong data management skills including SQL, data validation, database management software, and reporting tools

    Intermediate experience writing SQL queries

    Strong attention to detail

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Exceptional problem solving and demonstrates abilities in learning new skills

    Ability to personally view the business from the perspectives of both the customer and operator

    Ability to use sound judgment including maintaining confidentiality

    Ability to work independently and with teams

    Strong time-management skills and the ability to effectively multi-task and manage competing priorities

    Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship for Work Visa Status is not offered.

    Preferred education and experience:

    Restaurant or retail experience, highly preferred

    Experience using business intelligence software such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
