The Emergency Services Director will lead, manage, and hold accountable all employees in the Emergency Services Department. The position will develop, create, and maintain all systems and processes to support growth for the department. The director will work directly with the First Atlantic Restoration leadership team to accomplish all short-term and long-term goals assigned to the Emergency Services Department with clear and consistent communication, strong attention to details, and persistent follow-up.
Director Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily operations of the Emergency Services Department
Work alongside the leadership team to develop and accomplish vision for the department
Create all processes and procedures to meet department goals
Develop detailed training and continuing education process that supports onboarding of new hires and long-term development of technicians and leadership within the department
Analyze department data to create financial goals and strategize for definitive growth
Conduct performance reviews and hold staff members accountable utilizing EOS processes
Maintain consistent Level 10 department meetings identifying and solving department issues
Guide employees and leadership within the department through their development to achieve clear goals
Daily observation, analysis, and adjustments to improve operations
Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and staff
Assist in development and enforcement of all safety processes related to the production of jobs
Organize team-building events
Maintain relationships with clients and find creative ways to help expand the organization
Attend and host workshops, lectures, and training sessions wherever possible.
Write, edit, and send estimates for mitigation work
Pursue efficiencies in the use and implementation of PSA and other software to expand opportunities for department growth
Communicate with adjusters, homeowners, and trade partners
Maintain conduct that is in accordance with all FAR Core Values
Maximize efficiency of mitigation, demolition, drying and documentation processes to meet or exceed industry standards
Manage distribution and create accountability around maintaining vehicles and equipment in conditions for peak performance
Director Requirements:
Proven track record of leadership through consistent delivery and company development
Current driver’s license with a clean driving record
Excellent verbal, written, telephonic, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience speaking to larger groups of employees or clients in various forums
Proficient in MS Office and related software systems that allow for utilization of systems such as Xactimate, Docusketch, and MICA to create peak department performance
A leader’s attitude with a servant’s heart
High organization and multitasking skills from proven experience
A growth mindset as indicated by prior experience
