Principal Function
The primary responsibility of the Assimilation Coordinator is to centralize the process of recording, maintaining, analyzing and reporting on guest and membership data. The Assimilation Coordinator also facilitates the process of moving guests, attenders and members through our Gather, Grow, Give and Go ministry pathway. Excellent communication skills are required to coordinate information between these groups, staff and others. In addition, the Assimilation Coordinator provides in-house support for our church management software (REALM). Gaining expertise of the system’s functionality and training staff on its functionality is a significant part of the Assimilation Coordinator’s duties. This position reports to the Executive Pastor of Ministries.

General responsibilities will be performed during office hours Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm and Friday, 8 am to 12 pm or Sunday 8 am to 12 pm.Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as the primary ministry assistant to the Executive Pastor of Ministries while collecting information from the Connections Center, Guest Services Center, and Age Group Ministries.
Track all Members and Guests along a discipleship/assimilation path to help identify and communicate each person’s “Next Step”.

Assign contact to the applicable ministry area(s), i.e. adult, student, children’s, preschool.
Ministry areas are responsible for Pastor/Minister follow-up and forwarding information to Growth Group Leaders.
Send contact information about the Membership Discovery Class.
Enter contact information into the database.
Send contact information to applicable ministry area(s), i.e. adult, student, children’s, preschool.
Ministry areas are responsible for Pastor/Minister follow-up and forwarding information to Growth Group Leaders.
Obtain guest information from preschool and children check-in and add to discipleship/assimilation track if they are not already being tracked.
Obtain contribution information from Director of Finance and Accounting and add to discipleship/assimilation track if they are not already being tracked.
Track older children, youth and adults who regularly attend growth group, who are not church members and provide information to applicable ministry area(s).
Determine if these contacts are new or already on a discipleship path.
Assign new contacts to the applicable ministry area(s), i.e. adult, student, children’s preschool.
Enter contact information into the database (do not duplicate records).
Determine applicable “Next Step” and send New Member information to applicable ministry area(s), Membership Class, Baptism, Growth Group, etc.
Provide a weekly report of member absences to ministry area(s) for follow-up, 2 weeks or more.
Prepare and send follow-up for Starting Point Class attendees (Membership, Discovery, One 2 One, and Next Steps).
Process for taking Worship Service Attendance.
Ministry Areas are responsible for recording growth group attendance information. Data Analyst will review for accuracy.
Prepare Weekly Attendance, Membership and Guest Data Reports for Staff Meetings.
Management of Volunteer Needs/Assignment Process
Education, Critical Skills, Experience and Abilities
· College degree preferred.
· Database management and support experience (2+ years).
· Knowledge or experience with REALM and/or ACS is a plus.
· Proficient in the use of a computer in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
· A personal conviction of calling to the church ministry.
· A commitment to biblical Christian principles and teachings.
· Personally modeling before the church what making disciples of all nations looks like in action.
· Establishing and maintaining a regular program of study and prayer in order to accomplish the duties set forth.
· Demonstrating a standard of personal behavior as required in I Timothy 3:1-7 and I Peter 5:1-4.
· The ability to listen effectively and to communicate clearly, both orally and in written form.
· Excellent organization skills.
