    Position Summary

    Support the accounting department by handling a variety of administrative tasks for the department, and in direct support of key positions. This position is responsible for managing mail, conducting bank deposits, and performing other clerical duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the accounting department and its key functions: AR, AP, Payroll.

    First Call is currently using a 3rd party bookkeeping service and building a team to bring accounting in house to meet our future needs and demands.

    · Job Status: Part Time (estimate 15 hours a week)

    · Pay: $18/hr to $20/hr DOE

    · Travel / Driver License Required: Yes (minimal travel)

    Position Roles and Responsibilities

    • Mail Management: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail for the accounting department. Prepare and dispatch outgoing mail and packages as required.

    • Bank Deposits: Perform bank deposit tasks, including preparing deposit slips, ensuring accurate transaction records, and liaising with the bank for any deposit-related queries.

    • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining financial records by filing documents such as invoices, receipts, and reports. Ensure all records are organized and easily accessible.

    • Document Preparation: Prepare and compile various accounting documents and reports as needed, aiding in the smooth operation of the department.

    • Clerical Support: Provide general clerical support to the accounting team, including data entry, scanning, and organizing files.

    • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external queries related to the accounting department’s administrative tasks.

    • Scheduling: Monitor and maintain the Accounting board, scheduling the AP/AR/Payroll/other Accounting team members to specific tickets

    Resource Profile

    • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in an accounting or finance environment.

    • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to organize tasks, documents, and schedules efficiently.

    • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

    • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • Confidentiality: Understanding of the importance of confidentiality in handling financial and business information.
