    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

    ACCOUNTS PAYABLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    · Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

    · Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data

    · Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.

    · Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements

    · Generate reports detailing accounts payables status

    · Understand expense accounts and cost centers

    · Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)

    · Maintain credit card and fuel card accounts

    · Reconcile credit card and fuel card accounts monthly

    · Process filings for vehicles (DMV, IFTA, DOT etc.)

    · File/pay for business licenses, taxes, and renewals

    · Research new locations and compliance needed to operate in given location

    · Attention to Detail on costs charged to the company and enter item costs in QuickBooks

    · Assist on special projects with VP of Finance

    · Prepare yearend tax information as related to Accounts Payable and Notes Payable

    · *This is a base list subject to revision, additional tasks or removal of tasks

    REQUIREMENTS

    · Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk

    · 3 to 5 years of actual QuickBooks experience

    · Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles

    · Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records

    · Data entry skills

    · Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software

    · Highly proficient with MS Office – Excel, Word

    · High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

    · Corporate Credit Card administration experience a plus

    · BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
