The First Christian Reformed Church (Hanford, CA) has begun a search for a Lead Pastor who will bear the core responsibilities of preaching, staff oversight, vision casting, and leadership. The Lead Pastor, in partnership with the Director of Public Ministries, will also help develop and care for its existing members, and aid in its ability to impact Kings County and the neighboring communities.
The successful candidate for the Lead Pastor position will be an excellent communicator and strong leader. He will also be a motivational force, a team-builder, decision-maker, and a vision-creator who champions and shapes both the vision and mission of the church, thinking beyond current circumstances and looking to broader, Kingdom-inspired opportunities.
Preference will be given to candidates ordained or willing to be ordained within the Christian Reformed Church in North America. Consideration will be given to those ordained by other Reformed bodies, such as, but not limited to, the Reformed Church in America and the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Established more than 100 years ago, First CRC has renewed its mission to make “more and better disciples cultivated by living the life of a Jesus follower.” The congregation has been blessed with loyal members, a dedicated staff, a growing number of ministries in the community, and ample resources. At First CRC, the hub of the ministry is “Life Groups.” These home fellowships meet weekly to share God’s Word and support one another.
