You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Coupled Methods and Operations Intern in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Core Design and Safety Analysis organization in the Fuel Business Unit which is responsible for a broad range of activities including core design and reload management using the industry’s most advanced core design tools. The engineering activities are coordinated with other Framatome fuel engineering departments both locally and worldwide. This opportunity is located in Lynchburg, Virginia. You will be responsible for learning and utilizing our advanced suite of codes, understanding how different transient analyses are performed, developing nuclear control room simulator lessons to reinforce transient understanding. Typical assignments include:

    • Preparing documentation describing transient analyses.
    • Analyzing code outputs and verifying proper core response.
    • Use nuclear control room simulator software to verify plant response.
    • Provide recommendations on training implementation.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $24.00 - $30.77 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

    JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

    · · 3-5 years accounting or finance experience.

    · · Knowledge of Excel and Word, and email tools.

    · · Familiarity with AS400 and JD Edwards software desirable.

    · · Preferred capabilities: background in Agriculture, advanced Excel skills

    · · Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, procedures, and application.

    · · High attention to detail and the ability to analyze data.
