JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Investment Operations Specialist
DIVISION: Capital Markets
DEPARTMENT: Investment Operations
REPORTS TO: Investment Operations Supervisor
SUPERVISES: No supervisory duties
GENERAL FUNCTION:
To provide securities back-office functions including custody, trade settlement, and safekeeping. To assure settlement and balancing of FNBB’s and respondents’ securities payments, settlements and positions on a daily basis. To assure the accurate and timely processing of customers’ accounting reports including maintenance of InTrader or other systems. To ensure maintenance of accurate and orderly files and records for customers. To process cash sweep transactions daily for customers. To promote good customer relations for development of investment sales business and to assist other Investment Division personnel in the performance of their duties as needed.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT:
Key end results to support the effectiveness of this position include:
Positive feedback from customers and team members regarding quality of service and courteous and professional communications with customers
Timely and accurate input of data into Intrader or other systems for safekeeping and trading customers including trading activity, payments and pledging
Communication with trading support and portfolio accounting personnel to ensure accurate input into system
Generation and distribution of customer reports accurately and timely
Communication with custodians at Federal Reserve and Bank of New York to assure efficient processing of transactions and payments
Accurate daily input and balancing of cash sweeps transactions
Reconciliation of daily payments and settlements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: University degree in business-related field or equivalent experience
