SUMMARY
The incumbent is responsible for support and administration of all HR related programs, including, but not limited to, payroll administration, benefits administration and overall HR administration. The incumbent will also participate in recruitment and employee relations matters as well as be the back-up to the Chief Human Resources Officer in most matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Administers the payroll administration process, including time card processing and all related employee pay related administration.
Administers all benefits related programs, including but not limited to eligibility management, employee enrollment, employee changes, communication with carriers, premium payments to carriers and reconciliation of carrier billing to HR systems.
Handles new employee orientation including capturing and filing of all required documentation, communication of company policies and culture.
Ensures all compliance related activities are handled, including, but not limited to, annual governmental reporting requirements such as OSHA, Vets 4212, EEO-1, Form 5500s, etc., work site posting requirements and required employee communications/disclosures.
Composes, prepares and issues correspondence such as internal memorandums and emails to employees.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality relative to Human Resources information and ensures HIPAA compliance.
Actively involved in assisting managers and employees with various matters, including employee relations and performance discipline/management.
Special projects, as assigned.
Maintenance and contents of employee personnel files, employee benefit files and I-9 records.
Coordinates employee events and oversight of the Employee Advisory Committee.
Documentation and maintenance of all Human Resources related procedures.
Participates in the recruitment and selection of personnel.
Handles employment and income verifications.
Reconciles any/all Human Resources related accounts.
Responsible for vendor management administration & compliance.
Functions as back-up to the Chief Human Resources Officer on most matters.
Other, as assigned.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILLS
Experience processing payroll. Experience with benefits administration. Experience with recruiting. Prior banking or credit union industry experience preferred. Professional certification (PHR or equivalent) preferred.
