JOB SUMMARY
Trexis is seeking a detail-oriented and driven First Party Medical Adjuster to investigate automobile insurance claims involving coverage, liability, and injury. In this role, you'll work closely with attorneys, medical professionals, and claimants to gather essential information, evaluate Alfa’s liability, and resolve first-party medical injury claims. You'll manage claims from start to finish, which may include negotiating and repricing medical bills. RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactive file management
Investigate coverage, liability and damages.
Seek out all medical documentation to settle or deny injury claims.
Resolves first-party medical injury claims with claimants and attorneys. Handles claims to conclusion, which may include repricing and negotiation of medical bills.
Evaluated by the manager and regular audits performed by the Department Audit Team.
Maintain a current, accurate working knowledge of all venues for the states handled. This expertise and professionalism will be shown through file documentation and preparation of files for discussion with management.
Representatives will be called upon to help teammates on occasion.
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree or commensurate work experience required
Minimum of 1-year handling liability claims.
Strong oral and written communication skills to quickly build rapport.
Medical Terminology aptitude.
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
Well versed in tort laws for all states we do business as well as expertise with the Department of Insurance regulations and their Fair Claims Practice Act. Compliance to State PIP/No-Fault Regulations.
